Environmental concerns

MOHBs will be more environmentally friendly than today's phones. Since most applications will be operated remotely, thanks to the Cloud, MOHBs won't require as much power, and with improvements in solar cell technology, part or all of the energy needed can be generated by the sun, and another part could be generated by the user's own motions, through kinetic energy.

Though voice commands will be a common feature in MOHBs, there may still be a need for a display screen. Electronic paper displays, currently only available in the Motorola MOTOFONE F3c, will become standard and support color. Electronic paper, which is also used for Amazon's Kindle's display screen, isn't backlit like most phone and computer displays. Instead, you can read it by the light you have available. The MOHB will also include a backlight that can be turned on if you are in a dark place.
